It was more than a year ago that I gave up mascara; I didn’t even wear it to my wedding. I have naturally black lashes that are… well, just fine. They’re not long and thick like my husbands, but the costs of wearing mascara outweighed the benefits. Sensitive eyes, mostly, caused me to toss out my varied collection without looking back.
At the Chanel counter a few weeks back I made a cosmetic purchase, and was given a sample of the Inimitable Intense Mascara. My first thought was, “Wow, great. Who can I re-gift this to?” I’ve been wanting to expand my reviews to include more cosmetics and skin care, so gave it a try.
… And am hooked.
One effortless stroke on each lash creates lush, weightless perfection that sticks in place all day, but still rinses off in the evening without any rubbing. No irritation, no stiff or dry feeling. Should I brush my fingers over my lashes to dislodge a dust mote (I run a bookstore, after all), there’s no pulling on the eye. This stuff is what I never dreamed mascara could be.
Buy it all over the place for $30.00
