  1. I would have envied you if it weren’t for the sample pack I just got yesterday from the luckyscent.
    Have a wonderful weekend!

  2. I decided it was time to meet some of the Tauer’s creations (5 to start with), couple of Diptyque’s and some others. I’m really upset that I had just 1 weekend day this week and only two arms!

    1. I can totally relate! There’s only so many perfumes you can put on your body at one time and still differentiate… Although, I’d rather have more than I can test, than not have anything waiting in the wings 🙂

Hope you enjoyed those Tauers! I tested Une Rose Vermeille this weekend for the first time, and found it lovely.

      1. What a coincidence! Last Saturday I chose URV as a first test candidate. I think it’s very nice and I will be trying it again. It’s a little too sweet to my liking in the very beginning but then develops nicely.

I compared it side-by-side with Rose Praline by Les Parfums de Rosine. I don’t know why (their notes are more different than similar – as much or as little as notes composition matters), but as soon as I smelled URV for the first time I thought of RP. And after trying them together I still think they remind each other a little, but I like Une Rose Vermeille more.

Please share your thoughts when/if you test URV again.

        1. That is a coincidence!

I’ll probably review it sometime soon, but I can tell you that initially I found URV too sweet also—when I noticed it while I was jogging (the treadmill has become a new testing zone) I thought it was stunning, but when I sniffed it on my wrist the jammy-sweetness was a little much.

          It’s best at middle-distance I think!
